Job summary

Stockport Council is offering a temporary full-time Family Help Coordinator role based in Stockport. The post is hybrid, with a mix of hub-based and some homeworking, and runs until June 2027.

You will provide front-line services under the Stockport Family framework, carrying out assessments and coordinating support for families with children aged 0-19. The role requires delivering timely responses and leading family meetings while promoting positive outcomes.

Your Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Family Help Coordinator to join our Family Help teams.
You will provide a front-line service, working to in line with Stockport Family’s start well and early help strategies and the healthy child programme 0-19 to ensure families receive the right response at the right time.

You will act as the lead professional for families, completing assessments, engaging with children and families to understand their daily lives and leading team around the family meetings.

About You

You will be experienced in direct work with children and families, in a variety of settings including family homes.

You will be passionate and committed to improve outcomes for Children and Families. You always consider the voice of the child, young person in the context of the family and community functioning.

You may have experience of facilitating groups and using evidence-based programmes to work with parents, children and young people to achieve positive behaviour change.

You will be committed to your professional development, take up the vast amount of learning opportunities on offer and be excited about being part of Stockport Family.
