QED Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Family Costs Draftsperson to join the specialist Costs Team of a nationally recognised law firm. The role focuses on Family Legal Aid billing, CCMS, and high-cost Family matters, with flexibility for remote, hybrid, or office-based work across the UK.

You will draft Bills of Costs, manage Legal Aid submissions, and liaise with the Legal Aid Agency, solicitors and counsel, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy and attention

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Family Costs Draftsperson / Costs Draftsman.
• Strong knowledge of Legal Aid billing and CCMS – essential.
• Experience handling high-cost Family cases.
• Understanding of public and private Family law proceedings.
• CostsMaster experience desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage your own workload.

Family Costs Draftsperson – Legal Aid Location: UK Wide – Remote / Hybrid / Office-Based, Salary: £35-40k DOE, Job Type: Full Time | Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Costs Draftsperson to join the specialist Costs Team of a highly regarded national law firm.

Offering remote working anywhere in the UK, this role is ideal for a Costs Draftsperson with strong experience in Family Legal Aid billing, CCMS and high-cost Family matters.

You will join an established, supportive team, handling a varied caseload of publicly funded Family costs work.

The Role

• Drafting Bills of Costs for complex Family Legal Aid matters.
