Job summary

Community Care Live is seeking an experienced Families First Partnership Manager in Nottingham to lead the city’s integrated family support and ensure education remains central to how children, young people and families are supported.

You will bring together schools, education services, early help, social care, health and the voluntary sector to improve attendance, inclusion and outcomes, while shaping strategic priorities and ensuring timely, coordinated support for those in need.

As Families First Partnership Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading Nottingham’s Families First approach, with a strong focus on ensuring education is central to how children, young people and families are supported. You will bring together partners across schools, academies, education services, early help, social care, health, community safety and the voluntary sector to improve educational engagement, attendance, inclusion and wider outcomes for children and young people.

You will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of integrated family support services, ensuring that education settings are fully connected into early help and whole-family working. Working alongside schools and partners across the city, you will help ensure that children and families receive the right support at the right time, with a clear focus on identifying need early, removing barriers to learning and preventing issues from escalating.

Working closely with senior leaders, education partners, practitioners and partner agencies, you will oversee the implementation of strategic priorities that support improved attendance, inclusion, safeguarding and achievement. You will use education data, performance information, feedback from schools and families, and evidence of what works to drive continuous improvement and strengthen the impact of Families First across Nottingham.

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader with a strong understanding of education, children’s services, early help, safeguarding, inclusion and partnership working. You will bring excellent communication, relationship-building and strategic planning skills, alongside the ability to lead change across schools, services and wider partnership arrangements.

You will play a key role in shaping a coordinated and responsive Families First offer where education is recognised as a vital protective factor in children’s lives. Through strong partnership leadership, you will help schools and services work effectively together to reduce need, build family resilience, improve attendance and inclusion, and support children and young people to achieve positive long-term outcomes.
