Job summary

PTSG Access & Safety is seeking a Lead Fall Arrest Engineer to oversee field-based installations across the UK, leading a small team to install fall protection systems safely and efficiently.

The role requires installation on sites, leadership of on-site staff, and ensuring compliance with BS standards. The position offers a company van and a competitive package, with potential night and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience installing fall protection systems.
• Experience working at height.
• CSCS Card is required.
• SSSTS or IOSH desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage installations on site.

Responsibilities

• Leading installation works on construction sites.
• Supervising Assistant Engineers.
• Liaising with Site Managers and clients.
• Installing fall protection systems including mansafe and safety line systems.
• Ensuring installations comply with method statements and British Standards.
• Completing installation reports and site documentation.

Fall Arrest Installation Lead Engineer
Location: Field Based - Essex/ London & South East
Salary: competitive + Company Van

Flexibility is key – this role may involve night work, weekends, and overnight stays when required.

About PTSG Access & Safety

PTSG are the UK's leading provider of façade access and fall protection services, lightning protection, electrical testing, specialist building access and fire solutions.

Our Fall Arrest Installations (FAI) division works on major construction projects across the UK installing fall protection systems on new build developments and refurbishment projects.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Fall Protection Installer to join our growing team.

What the role involves:

As Lead Engineer you will take responsibility for installations on site and lead a small team delivering fall protection installations safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading installation works on construction sites
• Supervising Assistant Engineers
• Liaising with Site Managers and clients
• Installing fall protection systems including mansafe and safety line systems
• Ensuring installations comply with method statements and British Standards
• Completing installation reports and site documentation
• Maintaining company equipment and vehicles

You’ll need:

• Experience installing fall protection systems
• Experience working at height
• CSCS Card
• SSSTS / IOSH desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage installations on site
