Job summary

A leading aerospace company in the East Midlands seeks a Quality Control Specialist to ensure compliance with quality standards during the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a background in quality control, experience in interpreting engineering drawings, and familiarity with aerospace standards. Qualifications

  • Experienced in a quality background.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred.
  • Experience in a quality control environment preferred.
  • First Article Inspection experience IAW AS9102.
  • Working to ISO9001.
  • Good level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities
  • To maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements.
  • Inspection and verification of parts at all stages within business.
  • Complying and reviewing of First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Reporting of Non-Conformances in line with the business's Quality Management System.
  • Supporting Root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Work as part of team to achieve quality targets.
  • Support process of building quality into the manufacturing cycle.
  • Represent quality function at team meetings.
  • Safety: work in line with all accredited company safety standards in order to provide a safe working environment for all.
  • Quality: support the quality accreditations across the business to ensure the delivery of a 'right first time' performance.
  • Cost: support the continuous improvements in cost reduction activities across the company in order to deliver increased profitability and value for money to our customers and stakeholders.
  • Delivery: drive improvement in delivery performance to continually exceed customer expectations and targets.
Qualifications
