Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced FAIR Inspector/Engineer for a metal manufacturing facility in Greater Manchester. You will compile, review and submit full and delta FAIRs, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in FAIR compilation within metal manufacturing, with experience reading drawings and using inspection tools such as Keyence or CMM. This is an on-site role in a professional engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ FAIR compilation experience in a metallic manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with full and delta FAIRs and aerospace/defence quality standards.
• Knowledge of QMS/IMS and non-conformance/MRB processes.
• Proficient with inspection software and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and submit full and delta FAIRs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect sheet metal, machined and turned components.
• Utilise inspection equipment including hand tools, Keyence and CMM.
• Support non-conformance and MRB processes.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation.
