Job summary

The University of Cambridge, Faculty of Law, seeks a Deputy Faculty Manager responsible for finance, research operations and facilities management. You will lead the professional services team and support weekly Senior Leadership Team meetings.

You will oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, research support, and facilities services including health and safety, room bookings and space planning. You will deputise for the Faculty Manager and act as Safety and Fire Officer.

Qualifications

• Senior administrative experience with staff management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.

• Ability to prioritise, plan and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Faculty's professional services team across finance, research operations and facilities management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, post costings, and audit coordination.
• Support research grants and REF-related activities; liaise with HR on research appointments.
• Oversee facilities management including room bookings, space allocation, and safety planning.
• Attend weekly Faculty Officer meetings and deputise for the Faculty Manager.
