Harris Girls Academy Bromley seeks an exceptional leader to become Faculty Director for English, Performing Arts and PE. The role blends strategic leadership with classroom teaching in English or Performing Arts, aimed at developing future Vice Principal and Principal capabilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent and a strong undergraduate degree.
• Extensive teaching experience and outstanding practice.

Responsibilities

• Create a true learning institution across levels.
• Lead aims, objectives and shared vision for the academy.
• Develop and maintain a high quality positive learning environment.
• Take full responsibility for teaching and learning in your area.
• Ensure high quality teaching across the academy.
• Work with colleagues to ensure data is used effectively.
• Lead the assessment and reporting programme with SLT.
• Support staff in high quality intervention programmes.
• Support colleagues and subject leaders in developing schemes of learning.
• Develop strategies with SLT to enhance teachers' learning and advanced teaching skills.
• Raise students' aspirations and achievement.
• Ensure the highest standards of achievement for all students.
• Ensure equal access to and participation in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Provide efficient cross curricular integration of skills and knowledge.
