Job summary

Resourcing Partnership Ltd seeks a disciplined Factory Manager to bring structure, accountability and continuous improvement to a UK food manufacturing site. You will oversee multiple shifts, report to the UK Head of Manufacturing, and lead a team of Production Manageres and Supervisors to raise performance.

Job description

Overview:

On behalf of my client, I am recruiting a strong, hands-on and authoritative Factory Manager who can bring control, structure, discipline and accountability to the factory. This is a very important requirement, so the successful individual will be a strong and disciplined person who has had experience of improving factory operations.

The role will report to the UK Head of Manufacturing and will have a team of managers to support the journey. There are three shifts each with a Production Manager, and two Supervisors (one in packing and one in manufacture).

• Take control and implement consistency to the manufacturing operation
• Improve behaviours, strengthened the supervisory team, addressed underperformance
• Increase discipline and productivity
• Drive improvements and ensure that expectations are consistently met across all shifts.
• Improve management control within a manufacturing environment

Person Specification:

Essential

• Leadership presence and practical experience to challenge the status quo
• Leads from the front, is highly visible, decisive and confident in holding both employees and supervisors accountable.
• Confident to address issues directly, managing poor performance and making difficult decisions
• Professional and consistent in approach
• FMCG or Food Manufacturing experience

Desirable

• A traditional, no-nonsense management style, with a strong presence on the factory floor
• Confidence to set clear expectations, enforce company rules and procedures, challenge poor behaviours and ensure employees are working productively and adhering to agreed working hours and break times etc.
