Job summary

Dunbia is seeking a Factory Cleaning Operative for our Carnaby site in the United Kingdom. This part-time role (Mon-Fri) involves cleaning factory areas, bathrooms and canteen, plus laundry assist, in a fast-paced environment with health and safety at the fore.

Ideal candidates will have factory cleaning experience, knowledge of chemical storage and hygiene best practices, and the stamina to move between areas while maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferably within a factory environment.
• Knowledge of chemical use and storage and hygiene cleaning best practice
• Physical stamina and ability to bend lift and move in line with health and safety for laundry and cleaning tasks
• Reliability and independence, working effectively with minimum supervision
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to plan and schedule cleaning tasks effectively to time scales.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and sanitation of all factory areas, factory bathrooms and canteen, inclusive of mopping, dusting, vacuuming and polishing of floors, furniture, equipment and surfaces.
• Assisting with laundry
• Rotational deep cleaning of internal window glass, ceiling dusting, floor, skirting and wall cleaning
• Waste management, cleaning and emptying bins. Recycling for allocated factory areas.
• Equipment sanitation, inclusive of fridges, microwave ovens and kettle/tap de-scaling.
• Bathroom areas – sanitation of toilets, sinks and mirror, replenishing hand soaps
• Maintenance reporting – notifying the correct department of any repairs or facility maintenance required.
