AAK International (Hull) is hiring a Factory 1 Grade 2 Operative to operate a production line on a two-shift pattern (7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm) in the Foodservice department. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will ensure the right quality, timely output at the right cost in a safe manner.

The role emphasises continuous improvement, adherence to SOPs, and maintenance of equipment hygiene. Benefits include pension, bonus, healthcare, and life protection.

• Strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate line safely by following SOPs and maintaining hygiene.

AAK International is in the heart of an area enjoying significant redevelopment and investment. The Port of Hull is being established as a world-class center for renewable energy and manufacturing, and at AAK we feel proud to be part of this important industrial renaissance for Yorkshire. We operate the UK’s largest refinery for edible oils and fats at our King George Dock site, and supply ingredients and finished products to businesses in the food manufacturing, baking, foodservice, and retail sectors. We enjoy working closely with customers to co-develop bespoke products, in our well-equipped Customer Innovation Center.

About the role

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the aim of the role is to deliver the product of the right quality, at the right time, in the right quantity for the right cost in a safe and effective manner. This role is a Grade 2 role and will be part of our Foodservice department.

The role will operate on a 2-shift pattern which is Monday-Friday.

Week 1: 7am-3pm

Week 2: 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities

• The safe operation of equipment by participating in risk assessments for area of responsibility, keeping areas clean and tidy and ensuring that operations are carried out according to the relevant SOP’s and safe working procedures.
• The set-up and operation of the line to the correct standards through adherence to SOP’s, maintenance of line throughput’s to standards and ensuring general maintenance and hygiene standards of equipment are upheld.
• Completion of actions derived from the identification of line losses – to identify line losses, inform Area Shift Leader and identify improvements to equipment and participate in Lean activity.
• Adhere to relevant procedures to ensure successful completion of maintenance duties and changeovers.

• Previous experience of 6S would be desirable.
