Responsibilities
- Provide the best possible service to service users and staff and ensure maximum cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.
- Order and maintain stocks of food supplies in conjunction with the person-in-charge.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles, removal of waste bags and placement for collection.
- Follow cleaning methods and work schedules as instructed.
- Report any defects in equipment, work surfaces or areas requiring attention to the person in charge.
- Ensure the observance of and adhere to the safety regulations and safe procedures within the facility such as Health & Safety/ COSHH/ Colour Coding/Environmental Cleanliness/Waste management/Food Hygiene Procedures and Food Safety Regulation.
- (This includes wearing protective clothing provided).
- Participate in all mandatory training to meet standards required by regulatory bodies such as Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and BICS Certificate.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of carrying out a range of practical domestic or catering duties in a paid capacity.
- Ability to follow instructions and to participate as a team member.
- Have good awareness of health and safety issues within the work environment.
