Facilities / Yard Operative – Clevedon (BS21)

£14.85 per hour
Excellent overtime rates

Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm

Pertemps are excited to be recruiting for a Maintenance Operator to join a leading manufacturing site based in Clevedon (BS21). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hands‑on, varied facilities and waste‑management‑focused role with long‑term potential.

The Role

As a Maintenance Operator, you will play a key part in maintaining the smooth running and appearance of the site. Working closely with the Facilities team, you’ll ensure waste streams are managed correctly and help maintain high environmental and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Organising waste into correct recycling streams and supporting environmental best practices.
• Controlling hazardous waste in line with COSHH requirements.
• Completing site planned maintenance tasks issued by the Facilities Management team.
• Maintaining site cleanliness and assisting with first‑impression standards.
• Supporting facilities projects across the site.
• Operating industrial equipment such as compactors and balers (training provided).
• Liaising with coordinators to arrange waste collections and manage on‑site waste areas.

Experience & Skills

• Yard work or similar hands‑on operational experience.
• Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided).
• Background in waste management preferred.
• Knowledge of COSHH and hazardous waste handling.
• Experience with site or planned maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment beneficial.
