Job summary

Stagecoach Rugby Depot is seeking a practical Buildings & Vehicle Maintenance Person to join the team. The role blends building upkeep with cleaning and maintaining our fleet of passenger vehicles, ensuring a safe, professional environment for staff and customers.

The successful candidate will conduct steam cleaning and deep cleaning on PCV vehicles, operate cleaning equipment safely, and follow health and safety procedures at all times. Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or similar practical role.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Experience operating pressure washers or steam cleaning equipment (desirable).
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Understand health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance to depot buildings and facilities.
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and minor electrical tasks.
• Inspect and report defects; maintain external areas and grounds.
• Assist with depot improvement and refurbishment projects.
• Safely operate steam cleaning and pressure washing equipment and clean vehicles as required.
