Location: Southampton

Contract Type: 3 Months (with potential to extend)

Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 8:00am–4:00pm

Pay: £17.17 Umbrella / £13.50 PAYE

Start Date: Immediate (subject to medical & drug/alcohol screening)

We’re looking for a Facilities Technician to join a leading rail company based in Southampton. In this hands-on role, you’ll be essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and operational depot environment, supporting the teams that keep rail services running smoothly across the UK.

Your Responsibilities

• Performing heavy-duty cleaning in a live rail depot
• Cleaning pits, sheds, and depot interiors to meet safety and operational standards
• Removing oil, grease, and industrial residues from equipment and train underframes
• Supporting general housekeeping and depot cleanliness
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
• Promoting and adhering to safe working practices across the site

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards
• Physically capable of manual, active work
• Experienced in cleaning, industrial, or manual labour (preferred but not essential)
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented

Ideal backgrounds include:

• Heavy industrial, factory, or depot cleaning
• Plant, workshop, or engineering environments
• Manual roles where teamwork and safety are key

A full safety induction will be provided. All applicants must pass a rail medical and drug & alcohol screening before starting.
