Job summary

Sysco Belfast is seeking a Facilities Technician to join our team. Reporting to the facilities manager, you will maintain heating plant and HVAC systems, perform electro/mechanical troubleshooting, and keep MHE equipment functioning, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work across the site, log faults in the cmms, plan maintenance tasks, supervise contractors, and provide out-of-hours support as needed. A relevant trade qualification and driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive.
• Experience in quality, health and safety.
• Familiar with planned preventive maintenance, HVAC, MHE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating plant and equipment, adjusting as necessary.
• Provide electro/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Log faults in MHE and act upon them.
• Maintain switch & plant rooms.
• Assist with water management maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC systems on-site.
• Maintain & repair access control system.
• Carry out general facilities maintenance across the site.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance within prescribed intervals.
• Use CMMS to plan, track and close works/faults.
• Maintain documentary records for regulatory requirements.
• Assist external service contractors.
• Provide out-of-hours callout support.
• Support other NI Sysco sites.

This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco – keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.**Summary:**Reporting to the facilities manager, key duties and responsibilities include:* Ensure all heating plant and equipment is maintained & operated, adjusting as deemed necessary.* To provide electro / mechanical troubleshooting.* Ensure all MHE equipment faults are logged and acted upon.* Maintain all operational switch & plant rooms.* Assist with the water management maintenance regime throughout the site.* Assist with the maintenance of all Heating, Ventilation & Air conditioning (HVAC) systems on-site.* Assist with the maintenance & repair of the access control system.* Be fully conversant and competent in the use of power tools to undertake any fitting, plumbing and minor joinery tasks that may be required.* Carry out all allocated tasks and duties, in particular general Facilities maintenance. This includes maintaining general fixtures & fittings throughout the site, the unblocking of sinks, repair/replacement of taps, toilets and waste pipes.* Ensure all allocated planned preventative maintenance work is carried out within the prescribed intervals.* Complete all daily/weekly/monthly checklists via cmms system.* Plan, track & close works/faults raised via the cmms system.* Assist in maintaining documentary records of all work in support of regulatory requirements examined by external authorities, for example, HSE, Insurance Inspectors, etc.* To assist / supervise external service contract providers.* Assist in facilities maintenance of other Northern Ireland Sysco sites.* Provide out of hours callout support.* Maintain a positive & productive working relationship with all other Sysco departments* To provide an integral response to emergency incidents, and to assist appropriately based on situation arising.**Requirements:*** Possess relevant trade qualification Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automotive Qualification* Minimum 3 years’ post apprentice experience in similar role in regulated* manufacturing environment.* Possess mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications.* Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety* Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance, HVAC, MHE.* Experienced in fault finding and problem solving* Flexibility with shift rotation and travel* Have a current driving licence**Core Competencies:*** Understanding Your Customers – acts as a role model in personal approach to internal and external customer goals.
