Facilities Systems Manager

About the Opportunity

NRL Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facilities Systems Manager to support one of our key clients at Seascale. This role sits within the Energy, Maintenance and Technical sector and plays a vital part in the effective day-to-day operation of facilities through the use of digital systems and tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with facilities management experience who is comfortable using computer-based systems and is keen to develop their skills further. You’ll work closely with operational teams, IT, and service providers to ensure facilities systems are accurate, efficient, and continuously improved—supporting safe, compliant, and well-managed site operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management & Maintenance: Maintain and update the facilities management system used to track maintenance activities, space utilisation, and equipment records.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with operations teams to identify workflows and processes that can be improved through effective system use.
  • System Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for system-related queries and provide basic troubleshooting support.
  • IT & Supplier Liaison: Work with IT teams and software providers to resolve issues, implement improvements, and support system enhancements.
  • Data & Records Management: Ensure asset registers, maintenance schedules, room usage data, and other records are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Reporting & Insights: Produce reports and insights from the system to support decision-making and operational planning.
  • Training & User Support: Train and support staff and contractors in the effective use of the facilities management system.
  • Process Assurance: Monitor system usage to ensure processes are followed correctly and data integrity is maintained.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system usage to increase efficiency and simplify ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with Excel, Outlook, MS Office 365, and web-based systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach to work.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Working knowledge of facilities management environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in facilities management, administration, or customer service is advantageous.
