Job Description

The on‑site Facilities Support Technician plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the site by supporting the Facilities team in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. This role involves hands‑on support, coordination with contractors, and proactive maintenance of facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities And Duties
  • Assist with the daily upkeep and presentation of the site, including general maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to facilities‑related requests from staff and escalate where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service visits.
  • Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies and place orders as required.
  • Support emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid equipment checks.
  • Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives across the site.
  • Monitor and report any building or equipment issues to the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or site support role.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., email, spreadsheets, maintenance logging systems).
  • Hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.
Additional Information

£16,000 per annum (24 hours per week)

  • 3 days per week (Monday-Friday)
  • Available to work on weekends when required
