Ecolab company, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking a Facilities & Security Supervisor at our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Llantrisant, Wales!

Ecolab is seeking a Facilities & Security Lead who will work within the wider UK Engineering team and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the UK manufacturing plant.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Become a key part of the manufacturing and engineering team
• Deliver site CAPEX facility improvement projects by controlling the capital project management framework from project initiation to full on-time delivery, whilst controlling project costs and targets
• Oversee the facilities operational budget ensuring spending is controlled and monthly targets are met
• Ensure site compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies and comply with Ecolabs management systems in line with its standards (ISO9001; ISO14001 & ISO45001)
• Complete statutory maintenance in line with current legislation
• Maintain building service and utility systems including HVAC, lighting, gas, electricity, water, and security
• Manage the site’s team of facility engineers and security/fire/contractor control team, ensuring that essential facility maintenance is duly actioned in line with business operations
• Provide positive and strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring for the team whilst monitoring performance and results
• Interact with suppliers, vendors and manufacturers of equipment to build trusted relationships with business partners
• Investigate and implement waste, quality and productivity improvements for all aspects of operations with an emphasis on SHE compliance
• Serve as site contact for utility infrastructure providers (Welsh Water National Grid, Wales & West Utilities)
• Interact with other site scientists, engineers, plant operators, finance and purchasing teams and other Ecolab employees
• Develop site required processes and associated procedures in line with the site eQMS system
• Set departmental KPIs, track and ensure targets are met

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management with minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience
• Recognised project management qualification
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
• Understanding of environmental compliance such as ESOS & NRW annual metrics
• Experience in Health & Safety fundamentals (Risk Assessment, Permit to Work, Contractor Control etc.)
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders across a business
• Experience of managing a team along with all aspects of goal setting, appraisals & career development
• High level of competency with MS Office
• Willingness to work in a hands‑on environment
• Work as a self‑starter as part of a growing team
• Highly numerate, technically minded and analytical, with a love of problem solving and the ability to balance creativity with logic
