What We Are Looking For

We are recruiting an experienced Facilities Security professional to undertake a six-month consultancy contractor assignment focused on assessing, improving and strengthening the organisation's facilities security capability. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, the consultant will analyse current security policies, procedures, governance and working practices before developing practical improvement plans aligned with UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) security requirements and recognised best practice. The successful candidate will use their previous MOD facilities security experience to help mature the organisation's security capability while ensuring readiness for current and future defence programmes.

  • Develop practical recommendations to improve facilities security maturity.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on MOD Facility Security requirements.
  • Advise on compliance with relevant MOD security policies, GovS 007, Facility Security Clearance requirements and associated guidance.
  • Support preparation for internal and external security assurance activities.
  • Review compliance evidence and recommend improvements where necessary.
Business Consulting
  • Act as a trusted security advisor to business leaders and project teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Facilities, IT, HR, Commercial, Engineering and Operations to embed effective security controls.
  • Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to improve security awareness and ownership.
  • Provide pragmatic advice that balances operational delivery with security compliance.
Process Improvement
  • Analyse current processes for facilities security management.
  • Recommend improvements to governance, reporting and assurance activities.
  • Review security metrics and propose meaningful performance measures.
  • Improve documentation, records management and evidence management processes.
