Job summary

A higher education provider in Silsden is seeking a Facilities Operations Engineer to handle preventative and reactive maintenance, manage facilities documentation, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Ideal candidates should have relevant certifications, experience in building maintenance, and a proactive attitude. Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification is essential.
• Experience in electrical installations or equivalent NVQ preferred.
• Knowledge of M&E systems and building maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage documentation and inventory for facilities operations.
• Assist with refurbishment and fit-out projects.

Skills

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations

Building maintenance experience

Manual skills and knowledge of refurbishment techniques

Flexible and proactive approach

Familiarity with COSHH requirements

Good interpersonal skills

Full, Clean Driving License

Experience and Skills Required

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
• City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrable experience to the same standard.
• Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems.
• Manual skills, knowledge of refurbishment techniques.
• A flexible and proactive approach to work with “can do” attitude.
• Familiarity with COSHH requirements for the equipment and chemicals being used.
• Interpersonal skill and ability to work on your own but at the same time part of the facilities wider team
• Full, Clean Driving License
