About the Role

A rare opportunity has arisen to assist in the management of a large and diverse estates and facilities function for two NHS organisations.

The Facilities Manager role will be key to the delivery of a successful facilities service to support the clinical and well‑being strategies for both organisations and the local STP.

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust have created an integrated estates function to develop and deliver local services to local people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of facilities services across multiple NHS sites in Hertfordshire, including hospital, out‑patient, office and head office environments.
  • Ensure that all buildings are safe, clean and in good condition for patients, service users and visitors.
  • Coordinate and manage the estates team, providing leadership, advice and support.
  • Maintain effective communication with both Trusts and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experienced Facilities Manager with a background in estates and facilities services, preferably within the NHS or public sector.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Solid understanding of site operations.
  • Good IT skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Full UK driving licence.
