Support the Head of UK Facilities in delivering the UK Long‑Term Energy Action Plans for Westfield London and Stratford City. This includes overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and general projects that drive the company’s ESG commitments. The role requires strong sustainability expertise, effective project management, and solid technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems, supported by a broad understanding of wider ESG initiatives.
Lead the planning and delivery of ESG‑focused mechanical, electrical, and general projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Integrate sustainability principles across all project phases, driving energy efficiency, waste reduction, and the use of sustainable materials.
Provide technical oversight for M&E systems, including HVAC, lighting, energy management, and renewable technologies, ensuring optimisation, compliance, and environmental performance.
Manage a diverse portfolio of ESG initiatives, including water conservation, waste management, green building certifications, and community engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project delivery and strong communication.
Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality, and sustainable outcomes.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, CDM, and insurance requirements.
Monitor project performance, ESG impact, and financial accountability, providing clear reporting to senior management.
Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails across health & safety, environmental compliance, and project records.
Support the development and delivery of long‑term sustainability programmes to reduce carbon footprint and enhance environmental credentials.
Work with suppliers to embed energy and environmental best practices into contracts and operations.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in sustainability and M&E systems.
Drive innovation and introduce new initiatives that deliver measurable business and environmental benefits.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing mechanical, electrical, and general ESG projects.
Strong knowledge of ESG principles and practices.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Facilities Management (CFM) is a plus. Proven experience in the Facilities Management and Building Services sectors
Working knowledge of Consumer law, Trading Standards and related legislation
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
Relevant safety training and a working knowledge of health and safety legislation, with practical experience in the implementation of procedures
Proven negotiating and influencing skills
Demonstrated understanding of building principles and mechanical systems
