A UK university in Northampton is seeking a Permit Coordinator to manage issuing and tracking permits for contractors. The successful candidate will ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations while processing permits for various activities. Qualifications include an IOSH Managing Safely certification and experience in contractor management. This role promotes a safe and efficient operation within the university.

In this post, you’ll be the central point of coordination for issuing, tracking, and managing permits for contractors and internal teams working at the University of Northampton. You’ll ensure all works are properly authorised, risk‑assessed, and compliant with health and safety regulations. You will be assessing permits for a range of works from electrical maintenance, mechanical, to high risk activities such as hot works. Your diligence will help keep our university safe, efficient, and operational.
