Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Department for a Facilities Management Assistant (FMA) Domestic to work in Clockview Hospital. The post is suited to a motivated and experienced domestic services worker who will provide a cleaning and housekeeping service round the Secure Division, ensuring national cleaning standards, PLACE requirements and CQC standards are met.

We are looking to recruit a team member who has a flexible approach to their workload, can work to deadlines and demonstrates high standards of quality in their work.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out cleaning and catering duties in an acute mental health ward environment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, exhibiting excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to health and safety practices and safe working procedures, contributing to a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Support ward staff and visitors, ensuring the ward meets national cleanliness standards and the NHS colour coding system.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role (cleaning, catering, NHS) is beneficial but full training will be given.
  • Knowledge of national standards of cleanliness and NHS colour coding.
  • Good communication skills, a pleasant personality and a willingness to work within an acute mental health ward environment.
  • Ability to work within a team or independently with an understanding of health and safety in relation to safe working practices.
Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday 3.30‑7.30 pm, 20 hours per week. Some experience in a similar role would be beneficial; full training will be given.
