Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and initial troubleshooting on a range of building systems and equipment across clinical and non-clinical areas. The role may concentrate on carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or mechanical trades under direct supervision.

A high school diploma and 1 year of maintenance experience are preferred, along with a valid driver’s license and a de-escalation/restraint

Qualifications

• 1 year of facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and completion of the endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program within 1 month of hire.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, initial troubleshooting, and inspections on building systems and equipment in clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Specialize in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or mechanical trades as needed under supervision.
