Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Engineer in Invergowrie. The successful candidate will provide engineering support, ensuring timely repair and maintenance of systems and equipment. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance of building services, leading quality investigations, and planning small projects. Relevant engineering experience and qualifications such as a Modern Apprenticeship or HND/HNC are required.

Qualifications

  • In-depth experience of facilities maintenance or maintenance of automated equipment.
  • Experience in Process Engineering would be an advantage.
  • Experience in PLC controls would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient operation of critical and automated systems.
  • Maintain all building services to a high standard.
  • Lead quality investigations regarding facilities and utilities.
  • Oversee small building and new equipment projects.
  • Perform frontline maintenance of HVAC and critical production equipment.

Job description

Facilities/Maintenance Engineer

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support and advice, ensuring the smooth and timely repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and systems. In addition, provide engineering support for building services and function to maintain building standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Working in a cross functional team to ensure efficient operation of critical and automated systems. This includes reviewing performance history and maintenance history to continue to make ongoing improvements to efficiency.
  • Ensuring that all building services are maintained and are operating to a high standard, including all preventative maintenance work orders are completed on time and all demand maintenance work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • To lead quality investigations relating to facilities, utilities and critical equipment.
  • The ability to take the lead and facilitate system upgrades and provide guidance to a cross functional project team.
  • Planning and overseeing small building and new equipment projects. Arrange/liaise with contractors for day-to-day repairs (Electrical, Plumbing, Joinery etc.).
  • The ability to perform frontline maintenance of plant and production equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, water purification and critical production equipment.
  • Perform periodic maintenance reviews of instruments and equipment to identify performance improvements.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous in-depth experience of facilities maintenance or maintenance of automated equipment.
  • Experience in Process Engineering would be an advantage
  • Experience in PLC controls would be an advantage
  • Modern Apprenticeship Level 4/HND/HNC or equivalent and/or relevant facilities engineering experience within a regulated industry/environment
  • An understanding of the Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
