Job summary

Avara Foods Ltd. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer for our Hollybank site in Scropton, Derbyshire.

The role covers both factory and office environments in a fast-paced FMCG setting, with regular hours from Monday to Friday 07:30–16:30. You will maintain the interior and exterior fabric of the site, coordinate repairs, and work with production, H&S and Engineering teams to keep facilities in good repair.

Qualifications

• Floor, road and wall repair experience.
• Basic plumbing, cladding and carpentry ability.
• Painting and decorating experience.
• The ability to prioritise workloads in an effective manner.
• Domestic electrical experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep and repair of the internal and external building fabric.
• Auditing and repairs of restrooms, kitchens and office spaces.
• Planning and prioritising repairs.
• Where possible identifying root causes and suggesting improvements.
• Upkeep of the external grounds.
• Liaising with production, H&S and Engineering teams to identify and rectify issues.

About The Role

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our facility maintenance across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team, based at our Hollybank site in Scropton, Derbyshire.

The role both factory and office based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas. As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer you’ll be working Monday – Friday 07:30 - 16:30

What will you be doing as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer at Avara?

As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer you’ll be undertaking general upkeeping of the interior and exterior of the site, helping to ensure facilities are in a good state of repair at all times.
