Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a JIB/ECS Gold card Approved Electrician to join a market-leading provider of Modular Buildings, Portable cabins / accommodation, Secure Storage Solutions, and related products. This regional role is based out of Ilkeston and involves service calls at customer sites, performing electrical work and general maintenance. You will also deliver Facilities Management services including testing, repairs, and small installations. When regional demand is low, you will support the team with in-yard repairs and installation projects at the Service Centre. The role offers flexible working hours, including early/late starts, occasional weekends, regional travel using a company van, and occasional overnight stays.

Main tasks:

• Complete electrical installations, alterations, modifications, fault-finding, and maintenance.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certification in line with 18th Edition and NICEIC standards.
• Perform services such as PAT testing, Cabin Testing, HVAC checks, Legionella sampling, fire extinguisher inspections, etc. (training provided as needed).
• Carry out maintenance work at customer sites, including plumbing, carpentry, roof/gutter repairs, panel work, and general building fabric repairs.
• Install/assemble add-on items like flooring, furniture, white goods, etc.
• Prioritize Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
• Manage van stock and tools to ensure first-time fixes.
• Log all work accurately via PDA, including jobs completed, materials used, time on site, and invoice updates.
• Recognized electrical apprenticeship with full qualifications.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• JIB / ECS Gold Card and AM2.
• 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing certification.
• Comfortable working at heights and using power tools.
• Good communication and IT skills (basic PDA/app usage).
• A full UK driving license.

Additional skills include general maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, fabric repairs), Facilities Management qualifications (PAT, Legionella, Fire Extinguishers, HVAC), and H&S training (IPAF, PASMA, CSCS). Full training is provided.
