A local police authority is seeking a full-time Facilities and Logistics Assistant based in Maidstone. The role includes providing various facilities services, such as maintenance, office moves, and cleaning. Candidates should have a proactive attitude and some experience in maintenance. An exciting opportunity has become available for a full‑time Facilities and Logistics Assistant based at Coldharbour Police Complex / Maidstone Police Station. Your role will provide a full range of facilities services including preventative maintenance and minor repairs, office moves, painting & decorating, meeting room set‑ups, security & escorting, driving, vehicle maintenance, collecting CSI exhibits and general postal duties on a rota basis around the county, and cleaning.
You will work as part of a team that ensures the office is staffed during core hours (08:00‑16:00, Monday to Friday), allowing service calls to be actioned in a timely manner to maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Work is administered through bespoke computer programmes and office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Service Manager HornBill and Outlook.
Experience in a similar role is advantageous, but you will need a proactive, can‑do attitude, clear thinking and the ability to adapt, as no two days are the same.
The post requires some lifting and you should be able to perform these tasks. A general knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety policies is desirable; training will be provided.
This role is based at the Coldharbour Police Complex/Maidstone Police Station. You will support a wider county‑wide facilities team and therefore need a Full UK driving licence to visit locations and deliver support as required.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band; the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £24,768.00.
