A local police department is hiring a Facilities Locker Assistant for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves managing uniform and personal locker inventories and ensuring compliance with procedures. Candidates should have strong organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills. Facilities Management currently have a vacancy for Facilities Locker Assistant - 6 months Fixed term contract with the potential to be extended within our Corporate Asset Management Department. Facilities Locker Assistants are required to work across the police estate of West Midlands, based at Wolverhampton Central Police Station covering the Wolverhampton and Walsall areas. There will be some travelling between sites and partner buildings within those areas. Travel/mileage expenses incurred during working hours between different sites can be claimed for.
To assist with the provision, allocation and inventory of uniform and personal lockers, incapacitant spray, body worn camera charging points and air-wave terminals (storage). In conjunction with day to day operations, and the relocation/movement of staff within the Police Estate and to assist with the clearance activities as required.
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Successful applicants will be subject to a medical assessment which may include a drug or hearing test.
