Job summary

Greggs in Derby is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a site team to safely maintain and improve building facilities, equipment and services through planned preventative maintenance and repairs, including plumbing or electrical tasks.

You will monitor plant operation via the BMS, work a 40-hour week Mon–Fri days, and may include night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. A minimum NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade is required and experience in FMCG environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Trained to NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade and ideally FMCG experience.
• Familiar with building management systems and utilities.
• Experience with SAP, CMMS or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain and repair building facilities and services.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs including plumbing or electrical work.
• Monitor plant operation using the BMS and coordinate with external contractors.

About the role

About you

Trained to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade, i.e. plumbing, electrical installation or building services, you'll also:

• Ideally have worked in Facilities within the food or FMCG sectors
• Be familiar with building management systems and utilities including Ammonia refrigeration equipment, fire alarm and legionella management and any other SHE responsibilities
• Be experienced with Microsoft 365 packages, SAP systems and be familiar with CMMS (or other), Agility experience would be advantageous
• Have external contractor management experience
• Be comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people, and you have the confidence to respond positively when under pressure
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards
• Be supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is good
