WhatYou’llDo

As a Facilities Coordinator, you’ll take on a hands-on and varied role combining practical and administrative responsibilities across facilities management, health and safety, and compliance. You’ll support the day-to-day running of our site, ensuring it remains safe, efficient, and fully compliant with regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Facilities Manager you’ll help deliver essential safety initiatives, oversee contractors, coordinate maintenance, and play a vital part in emergency response and environmental management.

Office Hours:8am - 4.30pm

Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring it remains well-maintained, safe, and fully functional
    • Coordinate and manage external contractors for maintenance, repairs, and site improvements
  • Health & Safety Compliance
    • Support the HSE Advisor and cover their duties during periods of absence
    • Assist with risk assessments and the development of safe systems of work
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address HSE issues
  • Training & Awareness
    • Support the delivery of Health & Safety training programs for staff
    • Stay up to date with HSE regulations and help ensure team-wide compliance and awareness
  • Emergency Response
    • Coordinate and participate in emergency drills and real-life responses
    • Maintain and regularly test fire safety systems, alarms, and emergency equipment
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement
    • Promote a positive safety culture through reporting of incidents, hazards, and near misses
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and integrate Human Factors principles into daily operations
    • Undertake any additional tasks as directed by the HSE Advisor
Qualifications
  • Qualification or strong background in Health & Safety, Fire Safety, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Physically fit for a role combining manual and administrative tasks
Desirables
  • Experience in facilities management, including contractor coordination and maintenance oversight
  • Previous experience within an aviation or engineering environment is desirable.
  • Awareness of aviation safety management systems an advantage
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours work
