Job summary

MERITUS are recruiting for a Construction & Facilities Project Manager to join our client in Stevenage on an initial 12 month contract to support a major defence programme. The role is inside IR35, £50 per hour, 37 hours per week, and requires CDM knowledge, with 3 days on site non-negotiable.

You will lead internal and external project teams from design through delivery, managing projects from £50k to £5m+ across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Proven facilities, construction or infrastructure project management experience.
Strong people and project leadership skills.
Experience managing projects from design through to completion.
Good knowledge of construction contract management.
Experience with Building Regulations, CDM and planning.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior decision-makers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet programme, cost and quality.
HNC or higher in a relevant construction or engineering discipline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver facilities and infrastructure on time and within budget.
Manage projects through RIBA Plan of Work stages.
Coordinate external consultants, contractors and partners.
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM and planning requirements.
Present proposals and risks to senior stakeholders to secure approvals.
Balance competing priorities across multiple projects and teams.
Maintain clear communication across internal and external teams.
