BRE is seeking a highly organized Facilities & Compliance Officer to lead the estates compliance programme at the Watford site on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage statutory inspections, maintenance planning and records, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to ensure safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
The role requires experience in estates/FM, strong knowledge of statutory requirements, and a proactive approach to risk management.

As our Facilities and Compliance Officer, you'll be the driving force behind statutory compliance across our Watford estate, helping to create a safe and well-managed environment while developing and strengthening our compliance processes and standards.
About the role
As Facilities and Compliance Officer, you will take ownership of the Estates compliance programme, ensuring that statutory inspections, planned maintenance activities and compliance records are effectively managed and maintained.
This is a varied role that combines compliance coordination, contractor management, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight. You'll work closely with internal teams, service partners and specialist contractors to ensure maintenance and compliance activities are delivered on time, risks are identified and addressed, and robust evidence is available to support audits and assurance activities.
You'll be responsible for maintaining compliance records and tracking remedial actions, while providing clear reporting and escalation of any risks, overdue activities or compliance concerns. Your work will help ensure our buildings, infrastructure and services remain safe, legally compliant and operationally effective.
