Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Building Manager for the Warrington site on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will plan and oversee maintenance across offices and laboratories, manage contractors, and maintain CAFM records, while coordinating safety and compliance with stakeholders.

The role requires at least five years in building/facilities management, experience with planned and reactive maintenance, and qualifications such as HNC/HND or IWFM. IOSH/NEBOSH is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in building, facilities or maintenance management.
• Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance in laboratory/engineering/technical facilities.
• Relevant qualification in engineering, building services or facilities management (HNC/HND/IWFM) highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, statutory compliance requirements and safe systems of work.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification highly desirable.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Experience using a CAFM system or similar facilities management system.

Responsibilities

• Able to communicate professionally and effectively with individuals at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple activities and conflicting priorities.
• Proactive and practical in identifying and resolving building and facilities issues.
• Able to work collaboratively with laboratory teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to compliance and record keeping.
