Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Facilities Assistant (Periodic) to work on Bury & Oldham community sites. Based at the Bury site, you’ll support cleaning across inpatient and community settings, including wards and clinics, following NHS standards.

Driving may be required to travel across the Trust footprint. The role is part-time (25 hours/week) within the Facilities team of the Capital Investment and Estates Services department.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning services and COSHH.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety techniques.
• Ability to follow NHS National Cleaning standards.
• Good communication and IT skills; punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpet cleaning and clean ceilings/walls.
• Change curtains and roto wash/buff floors.
• Clean ventilation grills and radiators.
• Respond to ad hoc requests using a mobile phone.
• Follow infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures.

Education

NVQ 2 or equivalent experience

Full UK driving license
