Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Facilities Assistant based at Dunbar Hospital Thurso to support Catering, Laundry and Domestic services. The role involves ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service in line with infection control policies and NHS Cleaning Services Specification.

The post operates on a 2-week rota including weekends, with induction/training provided. Rate of pay begins at £14.22 per hour with weekend enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or housekeeping is preferred.
• Ability to work to infection control policies and NHS cleaning standards.
• Flexibility for weekend shifts and 2-week rota.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and service in line with policy.
• Support Catering, Laundry and Domestic services as required.
• Adhere to Waste Regulations and local infection control guidelines.
• Follow specified cleaning schedules and quality standards.
• Complete induction and training during onboarding.
