About this role

We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our team in Belford Hospital. This full‑time post supports the Catering, Laundry and Domestic teams, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, local infection control policies and waste regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in catering, laundry and domestic areas.
  • Follow infection control guidance, including Covid‑19 measures.
  • Adhere to NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification and Waste Regulations.
  • Carry out catering duties, such as regenerating meals and preparing salads, sandwiches and snacks.
  • Meet specified cleaning and laundry schedules and standards.
  • Cover weekend duties as required.
