Job summary

A leading food wholesaler is seeking a candidate to join their Health and Safety team in the UK. You will provide critical administrative support, ensuring high standards in documentation and compliance while managing risk assessments and audits. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the Food and H&S shared area documents, ensuring all Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, policies, and the H&S training matrix are up to date and accessible.
  • Managing document control to ensure version accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Supporting follow‑up actions from Fire Risk Assessments, Safe & Legal Audits, enforcement contact, claims, accident investigations, and pest control audits.
  • Assisting in the preparation, distribution, and documentation of H&S meetings.
  • Providing day‑to‑day clerical support and responding to routine queries.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the group to ensure consistent application of H&S procedures.

This position will be based in one of our sites in the UK.

About the role

You will be part of the Food and Health and Safety team that manages a wide range of responsibilities, including audits, risk assessments, training compliance, and incident investigations. This position will provide critical administrative support, ensuring the team can maintain high standards in documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance while focusing on strategic risk management.
