Carriera Limited is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer or Fire Consultant to support External Wall System assessments, FRAEW and EWS1 reporting for residential and mixed-use projects. You’ll work with surveyors, engineers and project teams to provide proportionate, risk-based advice on façade fire performance.

The role requires strong knowledge of PAS 9980, EWS1 and Approved Document B, plus experience in assessing cladding systems and fire stopping, with clear reporting and client engagement

Formación

• Proven experience delivering FRAEW and/or EWS1 assessments.
• Background as a Fire Engineer or Fire Consultant (not FRA-only).
• Strong knowledge of PAS 9980, EWS1 and Approved Document B.
• Ability to assess cladding systems, insulation, cavity barriers and fire stopping.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading, multidisciplinary built-environment consultancy who are seeking an experienced Fire Engineer or Fire Consultant to support the delivery of External Wall System assessments, including FRAEW and EWS1 reporting, across residential and mixed-use developments. The role sits within an established fire and building safety team and focuses on the fire performance of façades and external wall systems, working alongside surveyors, engineers, and project teams to provide proportionate, risk-based advice in line with current guidance.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience delivering FRAEW and/or EWS1 assessments
• Background as a Fire Engineer or Fire Consultant (not internal FRA-only)
• Strong working knowledge of PAS 9980, EWS1, and Approved Document B
• Ability to assess cladding systems, insulation, cavity barriers, and fire stopping
• Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Membership of IFSE, IFE, or similar preferred
• Clear technical reporting and confident client engagement skills
