Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Location: West Hull

Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Industry: Manufacturing for the Construction Sector

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in West Hull. This is a hands‑on role within a busy manufacturing environment, producing high‑quality components for the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication:
    • MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and other metals.
    • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
    • Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components to specification.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality standards.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Machine Operation:
    • Use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery (e.g., saws, grinders, drills).
  • General Duties:
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Assist with loading/unloading materials as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.

Advantageous:

  • Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  • Full UK driving licence.
