Job summary

The Thrive Hive is recruiting a skilled Fabricator/Welder in Haydock to join a well-established engineering business. You will read drawings, set up and fabricate metal components, and weld to quality standards using MIG, TIG or MMA processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder in an engineering workshop.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid fabrication skills: cutting, measuring, forming and assembling.
• Good knowledge of workshop tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications
• Fabricate metal components including cutting, drilling, bending, forming, and assembling
• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to required quality standards
• Carry out positional welding where required (vertical, overhead, etc.)
• Inspect completed welds for structural integrity, accuracy, and conformance
