Job summary

Richmond Upon Thames College invites applications for a part-time Technician in the Fabrication & Welding section at Richmond Campus. You will prepare and maintain equipment for teaching staff and students, demonstrate equipment use, and support delivery of the curriculum.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Fabrication & Welding, relevant experience, and the ability to work effectively with young people aged 16–19, with a strong emphasis on health and safety and good workshop practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment for use by lecturing staff and students.
• Demonstrate the use of equipment and support teaching teams in delivery of curriculum.
• Supervise students in the workshop ensuring health and safety compliance and good workshop practice.
• Work flexibly as part of the team to support the Fabrication & Welding section.
