Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fabrication Team Leader to oversee fabricators and welders in Coventry. This hands-on leadership role drives production targets, quality and safety in a busy manufacturing environment, coordinating with Engineering, Quality and Logistics.

The ideal candidate will show proven leadership in fabrication or welding, solid MIG/TIG welding knowledge, and experience as a Welding Supervisor or Fabrication Foreman.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fabrication or welding environment (ESSENTIAL).
• Strong MIG/TIG welding knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings (ESSENTIAL).
• Previous Welding Supervisor or Fabrication Foreman experience (DESIRABLE).
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop fabricators and welders to achieve production targets.
• Allocate labour, manage workflow and ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Interpret engineering drawings and maintain high standards of fabrication and welding quality.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Logistics to resolve production issues.
• Promote health and safety, conduct toolbox talks and ensure PPE compliance.
• Support performance reviews, attendance monitoring and team development.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S/6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support compliance with EN 15085, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Assist the Operations Manager with capacity planning and resource management.

Rate: £21-£24 per hour + bonus
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:15am-4:30pm | Friday, 7:15am-12:15pm

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fabrication Team Leader to oversee a skilled team of fabricators and welders within a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a previous Welding Supervisor or Fabrication Foreman to take on a hands‑on leadership role, driving production performance, quality and continuous improvement.
The business specialises in high-quality welded assemblies for the aerospace and defence sectors, delivering projects ranging from prototypes and batch production to full‑scale manufacturing and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in aerospace, defence, CNC laser cutting, press brakes or Lean Manufacturing - DESIRABLE.
