Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor in Heckmondwike to lead daily shopfloor operations, drive production standards and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will manage labour, plan workload, and champion continuous improvement, with an early Friday finish (Fri 6am-11am) and a competitive hourly rate (£20.00–£21.50 after probation). The role offers training, progression and company bonuses.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fabrication Supervisor.
• NVQ Level 2+ in Manufacturing, Engineering, Fabrication or similar.
• Commutable to Heckmondwike.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day fabrication operations across the shopfloor.
• Ensure health & safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standards are maintained.
• Coordinate labour, production targets, overtime, materials, and workload.
• Drive Right First Time, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Complete daily production meetings, safety checks, quality inspections, and team briefings.
• Train, coach, and develop team members while maintaining skills and competency standards.

Are you a Fabrication Supervisor or similar looking for a hands-on role where you can lead a fabrication team, drive production standards, benefit from company bonuses, and enjoy an early Friday finish?

Established in the 1980s, this specialist engineering company designs, manufactures and installs bespoke acoustic and noise-control solutions for industrial and commercial environments. The company works with a range of clients across the UK and internationally, delivering projects for major organisations and contractors across a variety of sectors.

In this role, you will lead day-to-day fabrication operations, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety standards are met while supporting labour planning, continuous improvement, and team development.

This role would suit a Fabrication Supervisor looking to join an established manufacturer offering progression and an early friday finish

The Role:
