The role

As a Fabrication Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, leading a skilled team of Industrial Trades professionals. Your leadership will drive the delivery of critical maintenance and commissioning activities on Fleet Assets, directly contributing to national defence and engineering excellence.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Leading and motivating a team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Collaborating with Nuclear Repair Enablement and Fleet Programme Teams to define and schedule work
  • Reviewing safety, quality, and technical documentation before task execution
  • Managing subcontractors to deliver work packages in line with site processes
  • Promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all operations

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience of the Fabrication Supervisor
  • Experience in a similar supervisory role within a highly regulated industry
  • Skilled in Safe Systems of Work and their practical application
  • Strong knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced engineering environment
Qualifications for the Fabrication Supervisor
  • HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent hands‑on experience
  • ILM Level 3 certification (desirable but not essential)
