Fabrication Manager

  • Hands on management position that would suit someone from a fabrication background.

  • Day shift position within a growing engineering business with a strong order book.

  • Huge scope for growth as the company are making significant investment and are continually securing new projects.

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to lead a small team of Welder Fabricators. The business operate within the heavy engineering sector so any prior knowledge of manufacturing processes within this industry would be ideal. The main focus of this role will be to drive the function forward from a process perspective, whilst also upskilling the existing team where needed. There is plenty of scope to implement your own ideas and the role will naturally grow as a business expansion is on the horizon.

Salary:c£45,000 per annum as a guide.

This Fabrication Manager job will suit:

  • Experience working within the sheet metal fabrication sector. Preferably within the heavy engineering sector.

  • Proven Man Management / Supervisory experience, alongside a track record of improving processes.

  • Organised and a natural problem solver. Someone who wants to own the department and strive to continually improve all aspects.

  • Proactive in nature. We need someone who will be ahead of the curve on any production related challenges.

  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and internal policies.

  • Manage attendance, discipline, and performance, conducting regular reviews and appraisals.
