Fabric Engineer Position

Our client seeks a Fabric Engineer based in Hatfield to work in a prestigious commercial environment, offering career progression and upskilling opportunities within a growing sector.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Availability for On-call Duties
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct general visual site inspections across plant rooms and communal spaces.
  • Perform painting and decorating tasks.
  • Carry out tiling and carpentry work.
  • Handle basic plumbing tasks.
  • Manage drainage and flushing systems.
  • Change light bulbs and test emergency lights.
  • Test fire alarms and doors.
  • Perform grouting and plastering.
  • Undertake minor electrical works.
  • Repair building fixtures, including doors, handles, and windows.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Certification
  • Proven experience in a comparable Building Service Role
  • Proficiency in planned preventative maintenance procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot single and three-phase control and distribution circuits
  • Familiarity with lighting, motor, UPS systems, emergency generation, and HVAC plant equipment
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
  • City & Guilds/BTEC in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with Computacenter head office systems
  • Certification in using access equipment
  • Specialized training in relevant areas
  • Health and safety qualifications
