Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a Fabric Engineer to provide excellent customer service and oversee day-to-day operations in Warwick. Responsibilities include handling logistics, conducting site inspections, managing minor repairs in fabric, electrical, and plumbing tasks, and ensuring effective communication with staff and contractors. Ideal candidates will have a hands-on approach and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of internal/external post on site.
  • Provide and record inductions for contractors and visitors.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for issue resolution.
  • Undertake site inspections and raise issues with the Regional Manager.
  • Represent the Facilities Management function on site.
  • Address staff concerns regarding the building or services.
  • Perform minor fabric repairs including tightening door handles.
  • Conduct minor electrical tasks like replacing desktop fuses.
  • Handle minor plumbing tasks such as isolating water supplies.

Fabric Engineer

Job Purpose:

The fabric engineer will provide great customer service and will be instrumental in ensuring that the day-to-day operations for one of the largest and well known leisure contracts, located in Warwick.

Role Summary

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of internal / external post on site.
  • Provide and record inductions for contractors and visitors on behalf of the client.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for issue resolution.
  • Undertake site inspections and raise issues and concerns with the Regional Manager, proactively ensuring that any faults are chased.
  • Represent the Facilities Management function on site and be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Ensure that any concerns directed to them by staff regarding the building or services are escalated to the UKPN team.
  • Minor fabric repairs – including but not limited to:
    • Tightening loose door handles and catches.
    • Tightening or replacing toilet seats.
    • Tightening furniture fixings.
    • Fitting or adjusting monitor arms.
  • Minor electrical tasks – including but not limited to:
    • Replacing desktop fuses.
    • Checking power supplies from sockets to desks.
    • Checking distribution board breakers.
    • Replacing lamps.
  • Minor plumbing tasks – including but not limited to:
    • Isolating water supplies.
